Christmas Collection 2022

Update on Christmas donation to Food Pantry at St. John’s:

The outreach committee will begin a collection of the food items listed below for “a basket of holiday meal sides” to be distributed to clients at the food pantry in the 2 weeks prior to Christmas.  The committee has set an ambitious goal of making 100 “baskets/bags” to be paired with a turkey or ham provided by the pantry.  The committee will ask parishioners to help reach half the goal and we will use outreach funds to match for the balance of product.  The desired parish contribution would be for the following:

25 boxes of stuffing,   25 cans of yams,   50 cans of corn,   50 cans of green beans, 50 cans of peas,   50 cans of carrots,  25 cans of cranberry sauce, 25 cans of pineapple,  25 jars/cans of turkey gravy,  25 cans/jars of applesauce,
25 boxes of mashed potato mix,   25 boxes scalloped or au gratin potato mix.

Outreach funds will be used to donate thirty $25 grocery store gift cards for Grocery Outlet.  You can make a monetary or gift card donation to support this part of the project.  Please see Dennis Cunningham, Janet Gilman, Ellen Kavash, Deb Stoddart or Jeanne Bernosky with any questions.
