THE WORD IS VERY NEAR YOU.. Advent is a season to attune “the ear of the heart” to the various ways in which God addresses us and calls us into companionship, and to be word-bearers in the context of our busy lives. Our time together will allow us, through directed meditations and personal reflection, to attune our hearing to the word God addresses to us in the “now of this mortal life.
Coffee at 9:30am, Simple Eucharist at 2:30pm in the chapel and lunch will be provided.

The Churches of the BuxMont Ministerium will offer a new event this year as an alternative to their traditional Thanksgiving Eve service.
Community members are invited to come for warm soup, bread, cider and conversation following the annual Hatboro Holiday Parade.
Simple participatory prayer stations will be available as a part of the gathering at
Church of the Advent, 12 Byberry Road in Hatboro.
On Monday, October 24th, Evening Prayer will be sung and read at St. Paul’s, Elkin’s Park as a part of the pilgrimage our new bishop, The Right Reverend Daniel Gutierrez, is making around the diocese.
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church is a historic Episcopal church at Old York and Ashbourne Roads in Elkins Park, Cheltenham Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. It was originally built in 1861, and is a gray stone church in the Gothic style.

The Rev. Canon Daniel G. P. Gutierrez, canon to the ordinary in the Episcopal Diocese of the Rio Grande, was elected March 12 to be the bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania. Gutierrez was ordained and consecrated July 16 at New Covenant Church in the Germantown.
Sunday October 16th at 10 am : A Celtic Mass
Featuring liturgy from the Iona Community in Scotland and prayers from the Celtic Christian tradition, we welcome our own Barbara Johnson and a fellow Celtic musician Deb Shebish as they liven our worship with fiddle, banjo and piano.
